Music School for Blind Girls

Pandit Puttaraj Gawai Trust(R) for disabled, is a free residential music school for visually impaired (blind) girl students.School is run by Vidwan Deva Reddy Chinchali who himself is visually impaired.The school imparts training in Carnatic Vocal music, Hindustani Vocal music, Hindi & Kannada Light Music,Instrumental music (Harmonium,Veena,KeyBoard)

The students live with Vidwan's family members who take care of all needs of blind girls. At the end of the training the students enroll for government music exams & get Degree in music which helps them embark on their career which supports them for their lives.

Over all 40 students have joined as on date.
10 students have complited professionary in Hindustani Music &
working working as music teachers.
6 students have complited Senior & working as Music teachers.
4 students working in Court & Bank.
4 girls have got married and settled their life.
The school has no government aid & the funds for these noble causes are raised by giving music concerts by the Vidwan & students at various public cultural functions.The school receives some donations which helps them financially for their daily needs.

Future Vision : To own the independent school which can house a 100 blind girls who will learn Carnatic Classical Music.
